I wear distance glasses and have a habit of lifting them up on my forehead for close-up work. This is not a good idea when you are using a power tool like a milling machine or a router. Hey the eyes might not be as good as they were but they are the only ones I've got! I found some safety glasses with bifocal lenses in various diopters and now I simply slide them on whenever I am in the shop and they have become second nature. So if you are sneaking up in years and are struggling with vanity, consider this, your rods will look better when you can see what is going on and your eyes will be safer, protected from all the activities we find ourselves doing.
